I am so pleased to write this review of my experience with Dr. Kyle Huynh. From the very beginning his demeanor and knowledge instilled a lot of confidence. He is very caring and personable. Upon exam, Dr. Huynh Informed me that I had cataracts in both eyes and recommended that I have cataract surgery. He explained the different lenses that can be used, the procedure and told me the surgery center that he uses. After testing he confirmed that I could have the lenses I chose implanted Following each procedure, he followed up closely to insure I had the best outcome. The surgical center was excellent in all respects. After my second surgery, Dr. Huynh informed me that I would not need to wear corrective lenses anymore, which I had worn for several years. His attention to detail is exemplary. I also commend all the office staff who are wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Huynh as an ophthalmologist. More

Since then, I have had the YAG laser surgery to clear up the blurriness after my cataract surgery and he was quick and reassuring. D. Kramar is the eye stye removal king. I was reffered by a friend who saw him previously for the same problem with their eye and I am so grateful to have found him! Dr. Elkins is very knowledgeable, thorough and answers questions in a manner that is easy to understand. The only thing I would suggest is that for individuals who are extremely near sighted, such as myself, that after he has completed his examination, he allows time for the patient to put their contact lens back in their eyes so the patient can actually see his face as he explains his findings. It is very disconcerting to be looking at the doctor and only be able to see his extremely blurry form. More

Dr. Huyhn was super kind and thorough. He answered all my questions and diagnosed what was going on with my eyes. Prior to seeing Dr. Huyhn, I’d been seen at two Urgent Care facilities. I now have a proper diagnosis and can heal. More
I was happy with the doctor and the process to have my eyes examined. This my first visit with this practice. I do wish to vent regarding the staff. I was asked to follow a staffer to another exam room. I was asked to put my mask up, even though it was covering my nose. Lee (aka Karen) started lecturing me about the difference in 1" higher on my nose. When I pointed out the studies indicating cloth mask efficacy rates, she started talking about personal info. There was more back and forth and she asked if I wanted another staffer and I said yes. The next thing I know another staffer wants to discuss the interaction and if I had said something inappropriate and in my opinion "no". He then starts trying to give instructions to mask wearing, taking Lee's side of the discussion. As I left, I commented that Lee needed to keep personal takes on masks to herself and the other nurse told me that I needed to do the same. Nothing like totally unprofessional service from Lee and the other staffer to set the tone of a first visit. More

My only issue was not with Dr. Kramar, but was with the person who did my general eye exam. I believe her name was Ivy. First, when she told me to cover my left eye, I had to tell her that my left eye was my distance eye (monovision) and my right eye was close up. She told me no it was the other way around. She asked me if I wanted to be measured for contacts. I told her I was there for my annual check up and she should do whatever is required. She asked me if I wanted my eyes dialated. I again told her she needed to do whatever was necessary for my annual exam. I would not want to have her examine me again. More

I went there for a routine eye exam as it had been 4 years since my last one. They did a few tests and found about what I expected, that my distance vision was still near perfect and my near vision was not. II was given a thorough examination on my eyes. The staff was great the doctor was awesome I got in and out within an hour and even found that my most recent prescription 10 days earlier was off a little bit the doctor and his staff found my eyes needed to be focused in better and adjusted. The new prescription from Lens Crafters is actually going to fix it while I’m still within my period of time to get it changed so the doctor gave great advice super nice guy really appreciate them More
Doctor Elkins and all assistants were very good but your patient portal did not provide good information as was advertised. I had to look up the meaning of the medical terms as listed such as pseudophakia, etc. The site did not mention that doctor prescribed and sold me a product used for dry eyes. I have been a patient with Dr. Zeegen for approximately for 30 years and I have complete trust with him. He is 100%knowledgeable in every aspect of the eye problem that I have had. He did cataract surgery in both of my eyes and to this day I have not had a problem. I do have dry eyes at times but he suggested that I use eye drops, and the drops help me. My appointment with Dr. Zeegen have always been above board. His associates who help me before I see Dr. Zeegen are also very knowledgeable and I have trust with them too. I would recommend Dr. Zeegen to anyone who needs a fine eye doctor. More

Firstly, I love Dr. karlin. Secondly I do not like the staff insisting I wear a paper maks . I have a plastic shield face mask that Dr. Karlin had no problem with and he said he relly liked it. The manager , uoon my leaving, told me I had to wear a paper mask. I told him I was fully vaccinated. It effing annoys me that they want to control me and my choice. All the folks ther should be cvaccinated by now. just becasue the plastic mask does not fit snugly around . I'm not sick and no one else is who is in htere. it's not a crowded office . I am still an american citizen and have rights to make my own choice about which type of mask i choose to wear. No one else has ever had a problem with it and I wear it everywhere. IF a business tells me I won;t be seen if I donlt wear thier mask then they really don;t want my business nor do they are about my eye health. It's all about the damn mask. not my eyes. The office was efficient and handled my medical information. The cost was reasonable and the experience pleasant and as good as can be expected. This is the second time I've been here to this office. Th staff was very helpful to me. The only thing I wish I could've had done was an email of something that I needed to have access to, but I understand it may not always be possible. They aren’t rude, but are also not friendly and they overbook to the point that going to get your eyes checked is something you dread. Mine are blue and periodically I get compliments and don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of lovely eyes myself, but to me or the person I compliment, you shrug and think "They’re just...my...eyes." Too often we take our vision for granted until a problem arises. Getting glasses or contacts as you’re growing up is one thing. I’ve been coming here for several years as preventative measure just to make sure all the parts are still in working order with the passage of time. The degree of professionalism here is extraordinary as evidenced by the plethora of award plaques on the walls. But it’s in the hands on treatment as a patient that it’s most comforting as it is reassuring. These days I couldn’t imagine not having health coverage to cover what would otherwise be prohibitive costs. They must be doing something right because the waiting room is packed every time I’m here. There is also a In house connected store to purchase glasses although depending on your plan, you might fare better elsewhere. Top of the line eye care by the best in their fields that I highly recommend. Because next time you hear "you have very pretty eyes" know that some upkeep might just ensure you hear that again. More

I went to Dr Elkins for evaluation of possible LASIK as I was tired of wearing contacts that constantly shifted in my eyes (due to my astigmatism), and I couldn't tolerate wearing my very thick glasses for any extended period of time. I went to UCLA and was offered a complicated treatment option that was going to be about $12k. I declined and gave up my search. I was then told about Dr Elkins. After my initial evaluation (where he incidentally found a problem with my retina that was quickly corrected by one of his excellent colleagues- but that's another story for another day), he stated that my case was complicated, but if I was set on LASIK he felt comfortable to proceed (though he did say there was a chance I would need another procedure for further correction). I agreed. One of the best decisions of my life. Prior to LASIK my best corrected vision was 20/60 in one eye and 20/40 in my other eye. After LASIK, my vision is now 20/20. No more dry eyes from contact lens use. No more thick glasses. And that is why Dr Elkins has been elevated to Sainthood (the miracle performing part, if my long winded post wasn't clear enough). More

I always have had a good experience at the Encino office. My only concern is that the eye drops given to me initially for "numbing" purposes (quote from the technician) made my eyes very irritated and itchy for the remainder of the day and they are still not quite normal yet. Thoughts? More

I'm sorry but I was really disappointed with my visit. First way over 2 hours. I realize there must have been a shortage of staff. I really felt rushed during my visit with Dr. Aizuss. I forgot to say I am having a tearing problem with both eyes - especially during eating. I did tell that to the attendants, but it wasn't brought up during the exam with the Dr. I am not sure I got 2 prescriptions for glasses - one for the computer and one "regular". Again, I realize the Dr. was in a rush to take care of the backlog - saw him even calling up patients in the waiting room himself. Please, this seems to be caused by overbooking. I hope the next appointment 1/7/2021 goes better. More

Very well organized office. I was about a half hour early and they still saw me in less than 10 minutes. Very nice staff and I was ever left waiting except for the normal time for dilating my eyes. It felt like something was in there, but no one could figure out what it was. I went to FIVE other physicians, and each had no idea what was going on. However, no one went above and beyond like Dr. Saulny did. His methodical and meticulous check of my eye was much more than I had previously experienced. After lots of hard work, he finally found my problem and fixed it right away. I've had absolutely no trouble ever since that day. He even gave me his cell phone number to make sure I was ok. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Saulny.In addition, I went back to their office for contact lenses. Dr. Nguyen was also fantastic! She was super helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and very professional. The tech that took the photos of my eye was very impatient and used a tone of voice I find unprofessional. She had trouble getting a good photo of my eyes and became as I said impatient and short. I always have had a good experience at the Encino office. My only concern is that the eye drops given to me initially for "numbing" purposes (quote from the technician) made my eyes very irritated and itchy for the remainder of the day and they are still not quite normal yet. Thoughts? More

I've been seeing Dr. Elkins for about 19 years. I know that my eyes are in good hands with his knowledge and expertise. I could see an ophthalmologist free at Kaiser but I'd rather pay out of pocket and see Dr. Elkins. And everyone else in his office is nice, friendly and knows their stuff. He manages my eye health issues so well and because of him, my eyes at 91 years old manage to watch TV, read and work around the house. The West Hills office is so much easier...you don’t have to pay for parking...less Doctors...smaller office! but truly Dr Kramer has the most gentle touch and is always there to help you out! Cannot say enough about him! Somehow with the hot air and dust in the Valley...my eyes get affected..and he smooths them out right away! Love him! You will too! More

I’m very light sensitive too, all of which he knew because I’ve been having my refractive care there too. Dr Kramer helped me get past my fear and the whole process was very easy, just like he said. I’ve recommended him to my friends with similar anxiety and they too were very pleased. Great vision and great care. Can’t ask for more. More

Had my Lasik eye surgery done by Dr. Elkins and it has been an unbelievable for me. Dr. Elkins is very kind and tells you everything you need to know before and after the surgery. Everyone at the office is very polite and I highly recommend everyone in Los Angeles to use Dr. Elkins for anything pertaining to your eyes. Clean modern office space. The staff is super friendly and professional. I was very pleased with my visit. Also, Doctor Elkins has great bedside manners. I will review his office again after my eye surgery. Update! Well...surgery was performed on both eyes. I must say, I am very pleased with the results. I can now see colors I have not seen for years. I could barely see anything due to my cataracts in both eyes, while I was using thick glasses for years. He gave my eyesight back with a simple surgery. On my way home to surgery I went to a restaurant for lunch, I then visited my remodeling contractor and then went to my daughter's new college to help her pick glasses, only wearing temporary sunglasses! No more prescription glasses! No more semi blindness due to cataracts. Within minutes after the surgery I could read the instructions on the eye drop bottle without glasses. He is a combination of a saint, your best friend, your favorite uncle, a magician, but more importantly, a GREAT doctor with a beatiful personality and a smile on his face who listens to you. I had an amazingly good experience with Dr. Elkins and his entire staff. They were very professional and courteous throughout the process of my cataract surgery. The results are quite phenomenol... everything people told me about it was true. Brighter colors, sharper images... In fact everything looks kind of 3D. The surgery center nurses and the anesthesiologist could not have been nicer. All the nervousness and anxiety about them working on my eyes was wasted energy... the whole process was just top-notch all around. Dr. Elkins is highly recommended and anyone who needs the surgery should run... not walk the office!!!!! More

I would give a hundred stars! To Ophalmology Associates of the Valley, Dr. Brad Elkins. This place has the best customer service ever! I have seen Dr Elkins for a few years now and he hasn’t disappointed, he is a very,very good doctor.Be on time for your appointment because they will call you in right away. They are Very thorough, he explains and gives you the best options for you. Staff is very nice,helpful, you do feel welcomed and cared for. My mom has come over from out of town, she hasn’t been too any eye Dr for awhile, I made an appointment for her, she was seen right away and Dr Elkins said she needed eye surgery before she goes back home. He immediately had Auna set up my mom’s surgery dates, pre-op and post-op appointments and she gave us instructions/information on what to expect . The surgery place was busy and ran like well oiled machine. Everyone is very professional/experienced in the offices encino/west hills, and surgery center. No tension is felt, they make sure every patient is getting the best treatment and that every patient is comfortable. Only down side is eh..the parking on encino and surgery center. I found my way to Dr. Kramer by way of asking my insur. co. for opthamologists in my network and area. I researched and read the reviews, so I called for an appt. When the office person asked for the reason for my visit, she asked if I could get there today due to the symptoms I described. I did and, from the moment I walked in, everything flowed like a well-oiled machine and everyone from lab/tech people to the billing person to Dr. Kramer were professional, warm, and kind. Dr. Kramer explained some things about eyes, so I had a reference for after when he explained what was happening with mine. I go back Thursday to see the retina specialist and trust that I am in greatly skilled hands. Dr. Kramer said I'll be fine and, extremely relieved, I believe him. I've already decided that I'll return in 6 months to make sure things are okay. Thank you, Dr. Kramer and staff!The next day: I received an automated reminder about tomorrow's appt. and even that was friendly! This place is so refreshing! More

14 years ago, I had a successful LASIK procedure performed by Dr. Zeegan. No more hard contact lenses (sever astigmatism) and I enjoyed perfect vision. This year my vision declined and Dr. Zeegan found that I had developed cataracts in both eyes. These post-LASIK astigmatic eyes again are enjoying perfect vision after Dr. Zeegan's pain-free, hassle-free cataract surgeries. Thank you! More

I had come in with a lot of concerns with my eyes, and I just went on and on explaining so many different things about was happening with them. Most doctors I have been too previously would interrupt me or tell me I was wrong or something. The doctor & staff listened to everything I had to say, & that was so important to me. I didn't feel like they were rushed either which was nice. The wait was a little long but really worth it! The Dr. even gave me a big discount on the visit! My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Aizuss at Ophthalmology Associates of the Valley for many years. We both have the utmost confidence in him and his professional staff members. You always feel that you are very important to them and they always take extra time to answer your questions.The professional treatment we receive at his West Hills and Encino offices is always exemplary. Dr. Aizuss recently performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. The whole process, from appointment coordination, lens measurements, the surgery itself and follow up visits was handled flawlessly by the team so that I never felt alone in the process. I am thrilled with the final results and can now see without glasses. Based on our experiences, we would highly recommend Dr. Aizuss to attend to all of your eye care needs. More
Dr. Saulny and his associates were absolutely amazing. I was given the wrong prescription for glasses by another office and OAV fixed everything right away! The assistants were great, the ladies working in the optometry store were so helpful and helped me find the perfect glasses. All in all it was a great experience and I recommend this office to anyone who wants to take good care of their eyes. More
During May 2013, I had cataract eye surgery. My doctor is David Aizuss with OAV. I am a senior, and had felt that I was losing some of my vision. When I went it for a checkup with Dr. Aizuss, he told me I had advanced cataracts in both eyes and would need lens replacement surgery. His staff scheduled me for the two surgeries (two weeks apart) with two post-op visits after each surgery. I am 100 percent happy with the surgeries and care provided by Dr. Aizuss and his staff. He may well be the best eye surgeon in the world, and I recommend him as highly as I can to anyone who needs the gift of having cataracts removed through surgery by a knowledgeable, skilled, experienced, and caring doctor.. I wanted to first off say thank you to all the staff over there at Dr. Elkin's office. They are all so knowledgeable and friendly. I researched LASIK for a while now and was just at the point of picking the right doctor. I called Ana (the LASIK director at Elkin's office in Encino) and she was such a pleasure to speak with. She could answer any questions I had, and didn't even get mad when I called her 1001 times! And best of all, she had it done herself so can relate and tell you personal experiences rather than just hearing about it with a mono tone voice. Thanks Ana! (Also, she was there after my surgery, if my eyes served me right, to great and congratulate me.) The staff who first check your vision and walk you through some debreifing were very nice and smart as well. There wasn't one person I didn't enjoy talking to there! They answered all my questions, even if I asked it 4 times. And they were very sanitary as they cleaned all the instruments 2-3 times before using them on you. It's nice to know these people actually care about you before you get anything done. Then on to Dr. Elkins... Prior to meeting him, I had heard he was an amazing doctor and would be the perfect guy to get LASIK done with. After meeting him for 5 minutes I was quickly reassured with what I have heard about him. He was cautious with the precedure and wanted to double and triple and quadruple check before they told me I am a good candidate for LASIK. It's better to know your a good candidate before you get the precedure done. Anyways, he answered all the questions I had and I felt very confortable going ahead and choosing him as my doctor. I had my first appointment with him on a Friday and they were open and ready to perform the surgery the following Monday! I was ready for it, was just waiting for the right doctor. I can finally see without glasses or contacts and the whole procedure was painless! Thanks again everyone over there at Dr. Elkin's practice! If I could get LASIK again, I would :) More

Updated Review.Its been 4 months and my vision is amazing. I believe I tested 20/10 on my last visit. Very rarely my eyes get a little dry, but it doesnt last long or I just put one drop of visine in and I am fine.I dont even think about my vision at all. When I do, I cant believe how amazing it is. In April, I had PRK surgery (like LASIK but recovery a little longer) because my corneas were too thin for LASIK. I’m not gonna lie- you’re eyes are gonna hurt for a few days and will be blurry for a week or two. However, I cannot tell you how much the surgery was worth it and how amazing Dr. Elkins was. The procedure itself actually only lasts a few minutes. I was terrified to have the procedure, and Dr. Elkins was calm, reassuring, and very accomodating. My vision is now 20/15 two months later and I couldn’t be happier. When I was having pain the day after surgery, Dr. Elkins fit me into his schedule the day of to see me. It’s also great because the medications, post-op visits, etc. are all included in the price, so I didn’t have to worry about tons of different bills coming in as I just paid all at once. I highly recommend PRK or LASIK with Dr. Elkins and his team. They will take good care of you and the procedure could really be a life changer as it is for me! More

From the moment I entered Dr. Elkins' office I felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. All of the staff was friendly, competent, knowledgable and concerned. Dr. Elkins explained the various options to restore my vision in language I could understand. Always a smile and he I knew by his confidence I would be well cared for. I received permanent lens implants at the West Hills Hospital outpatient facility. Absolutely the best care. The surgery was easy, comfortable and fast. The results are incredible. My sight is phenomenal. Dr. Elkins is the best. The level of care and attention is off the scale. Eye surgery can a frightening event. 11 years ago I developed Iritus, arthristus in my eyes. I only had an optometrist, and he untreated me. Undertreatment of this problem can cause blindness. After a 2nd occurance, I did my own research and found Dr Zeegan. All I can say is he is great. And anyone in his office is top notch. I had gardening 2 accidents this year, and they saw me immediately, and the second one putting me in eye surgery within hours. One week later, and I am almost 100 healed. More
