Meet Dr. Peter Zeegen
In 1974, after four years of specialized training at UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute, and two years in the US Public Health Service, it was time to put my training to work. I opened my first office in Encino, to serve the people of the San Fernando Valley, where I grew up, and attended Van Nuys High School.
After the extensive training I received at Jules Stein, I provided care in all aspects of medical and surgical ophthalmology. My practice grew rapidly as the explosion of technological advances occurred in all ophthalmic subspecialties. This led to my vision of serving the Valley with Fellowship trained sub specialists in all aspects of ophthalmic care within one office.
In 1980 I founded Ophthalmology Associates of the Valley medical and surgical practice, which is today the largest multi-specialty eye practice in the San Fernando Valley.
