He speaks with you as a family member, pointing specific areas of eye disease prevention and health, and most importantly, meticulously explaining every anatomical and psychological aspects of his treatments. Yesterday, I asked how long he’s been taking care of me, we both had a boisterous laugh when he said, "I think we’ve grown old together, Conrad!" You see, he’s not just an eye doctor, he considers himself smart of your family. I appreciated his kindness for taking care of my entire family for more than 30 years. They ran full tests on my eyes to make sure I don't have any hidden issues. My review is only for doctor Karlin and doctor Smith. I don't understand the "one star" comments when their complaints are clearly related to the front desk or someone else at that office! I was first examined by doctor Smith which is a kind and gentle doctor with a great sense of humor. Afterwards, doctor Karlin came in and greeted me with warmth. He was unpretentious and made me feel comfortable..Dr. Karlin is thorough, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring with great bedside manner. I was so down when I saw Dr. Karlin because I was told by another ophthalmologist that I had a tumor in my left eye. I wanted a second opinion so I made an appointment with Dr. Karlin. After he finished his examination, he reviewed my MRI, then he told me that there was no tumour in my eye. He told me that I was suffering from silent sinus syndrome (my sinuses were not being drained properly) and I had to see an ENT. He also gave me a referral to see an ENT. Words cannot describe my feelings when I heard I didn't have a tumor. I was able to finally sleep that night. I cannot thank Dr. Karlin enough! More

All assistants were very friendly and appeared to be efficiently completing tasks. I went there for a routine eye exam as it had been 4 years since my last one.  They did a few tests and found about what I expected, that my distance vision was still near perfect and my near vision was not.  Dr. Karlin and the other staff were very nice and asked me a lot more questions that I expected.  I’ll keep going there sometimes in the future as I am sure my eyes are going to keep wearing down with age.  I was getting a bit concerned because I can’t read anything anymore without my glasses on but...apparently this problem is not anything serious. Firstly, I love Dr. karlin. Secondly I do not like the staff insisting I wear a paper maks . I have a plastic shield face mask that Dr. Karlin had no problem with and he said he relly liked it. The manager , uoon my leaving, told me I had to wear a paper mask. I told him I was fully vaccinated. It effing annoys me that they want to control me and my choice. All the folks ther should be cvaccinated by now. just becasue the plastic mask does not fit snugly around . I'm not sick and no one else is who is in htere. it's not a crowded office . I am still an american citizen and have rights to make my own choice about which type of mask i choose to wear. No one else has ever had a problem with it and I wear it everywhere. IF a business tells me I won;t be seen if I donlt wear thier mask then they really don;t want my business nor do they are about my eye health. It's all about the damn mask. not my eyes. Mya rating of 10 is for the Dr. not the mask control. More

I am still an american citizen and have rights to make my own choice about which type of mask i choose to wear. No one else has ever had a problem with it and I wear it everywhere. IF a business tells me I won;t be seen if I donlt wear thier mask then they really don;t want my business nor do they are about my eye health. It's all about the damn mask. not my eyes. I recently visited the West Hills office and saw Dr. David Aizuss. I could not have had a better overall experience. The staff was wonderful and Dr. Aizuss addressed every concern and was very patient. I don't usually write reviews but in this case after having seen the negative review of Dr. Aizuss I felt like I needed to. I grew up with someone who was very impatient and rude to the staff at medical offices and retail stores and then turned it around and complained that they were treated poorly.
