I saw Dr Zeegen for dry eyes and had an excellent experience! Staff was friendly. Chantal, the nurse in the office is knowledgeable, funny and efficient. A very efficient exam. I was taken back to begin my exam with a technician, within two minutes of checking in and moved along quickly for my eye exam from area to area. Dr. Aizuss came in and double checked what the technicians found. He is an extremely personable and friendly professional. Probably one of the best experiences at the West Hills office. Marc took me back for "pictures" of my eyes. He is very personable. Next Dr. Iverson started my exam to get me ready for Dr. Aizuss. She is patient and kind even when you can't decide between lens 1 and lens 2. Additionally she went back without frustration when I wasn't sure. Then his assistant (Dark hair 20ish) set me up. Dr. Elkins is very knowledgeable, thorough and answers questions in a manner that is easy to understand. The only thing I would suggest is that for individuals who are extremely near sighted, such as myself, that after he has completed his examination, he allows time for the patient to put their contact lens back in their eyes so the patient can actually see his face as he explains his findings. It is very disconcerting to be looking at the doctor and only be able to see his extremely blurry form. More

I was happy with the doctor and the process to have my eyes examined. This my first visit with this practice. I do wish to vent regarding the staff. I was asked to follow a staffer to another exam room. I was asked to put my mask up, even though it was covering my nose. Lee (aka Karen) started lecturing me about the difference in 1" higher on my nose. When I pointed out the studies indicating cloth mask efficacy rates, she started talking about personal info. There was more back and forth and she asked if I wanted another staffer and I said yes. The next thing I know another staffer wants to discuss the interaction and if I had said something inappropriate and in my opinion "no". He then starts trying to give instructions to mask wearing, taking Lee's side of the discussion. As I left, I commented that Lee needed to keep personal takes on masks to herself and the other nurse told me that I needed to do the same. Nothing like totally unprofessional service from Lee and the other staffer to set the tone of a first visit. More

My only issue was not with Dr. Kramar, but was with the person who did my general eye exam. I believe her name was Ivy. First, when she told me to cover my left eye, I had to tell her that my left eye was my distance eye (monovision) and my right eye was close up. She told me no it was the other way around. She asked me if I wanted to be measured for contacts. I told her I was there for my annual check up and she should do whatever is required. She asked me if I wanted my eyes dialated. I again told her she needed to do whatever was necessary for my annual exam. I would not want to have her examine me again. More

II was given a thorough examination on my eyes. The staff was great the doctor was awesome I got in and out within an hour and even found that my most recent prescription 10 days earlier was off a little bit the doctor and his staff found my eyes needed to be focused in better and adjusted. I had to look up the meaning of the medical terms as listed such as pseudophakia, etc. The site did not mention that doctor prescribed and sold me a product used for dry eyes. Firstly, I love Dr. karlin. Secondly I do not like the staff insisting I wear a paper maks . I have a plastic shield face mask that Dr. Karlin had no problem with and he said he relly liked it. The manager , uoon my leaving, told me I had to wear a paper mask. I told him I was fully vaccinated. It effing annoys me that they want to control me and my choice. All the folks ther should be cvaccinated by now. just becasue the plastic mask does not fit snugly around . I'm not sick and no one else is who is in htere. it's not a crowded office . I am still an american citizen and have rights to make my own choice about which type of mask i choose to wear. No one else has ever had a problem with it and I wear it everywhere. Dr Elkins is great. However my appointment was for 3 and I sat in the waiting room until 3;40. The tech that took the photos of my eye was very impatient and used a tone of voice I find unprofessional. She had trouble getting a good photo of my eyes and became as I said impatient and short. I was referred by Neal Nakagiri years ago and love this place. Dr Elkins gives great advice and makes sure my family can see. lol. My wife had lasik a few years ago and is extremely happy.
