Teresa: Hi, my name is Teresa. I'm actually an optometrist and I chose to have LASIK because I have a really active lifestyle. I love to travel. I actually do a lot of camping and hiking and snowboarding. So having LASIK really worked out for me because I didn't have to worry about having to put contact lenses in if I was in the middle of the woods and I couldn't really wash my hands really well. Same thing with snowboarding or driving on road trips late at night. If my eyes were dry with my contact lenses, it would be such a hassle to have to find my glasses and put those on. Sometimes I didn't have them around. Yeah, I really feel like it changed my life drastically just having one less thing to worry about. So it's been one of the best decisions that I've done personally in my life. Yeah.

Speaker 2: Why did you choose Dr. Elkins? Or how was that experience?

Teresa: Because I knew that he was one of the first ones here in LA who started doing it and he's really experienced. He does it regularly. I know with him, from what I've heard, he's just really good as far as if there's any complications, he knows off right off the bat what to do. So that's really comforting. Under the table, I just felt really comforted by him. He was going through the whole procedure step-by-step, so I felt like I knew what was going on. Yeah.
